Job Summary

Auburn Online is a team professionals across five functional areas working on over 30 projects at a time. A project coordinator is needed to most effectively and efficiently manage our resources and talented team to deliver course development projects that meet critical teaching & learning deadlines. This position will also bring efficiency to projects that span multiple Biggio units in the newly realigned center.

Essential Functions

Coordinates course development projects, resources, equipment, and information. Segments projects into actionable tasks posted into Workast; sets timeframes and assigns to the appropriate instructional design, visual design, course accessibility support team member based on knowledge and skill set.
Assigns tasks to internal teams and assists with schedule management. Coordinates multiple projects by following up with involved personnel to ensure tasks are being met and timeline is on schedule to meet target deadlines.
Monitors and communicates project progress and status, and addresses any issues that arise. Communicates with stakeholders including faculty, subject matter experts, team members and leadership on progress of projects. Keeps supervisor informed of major issues, compliance risks, and other matters which do not appear to be in line with current practices, policies, and procedures.
Implements and effectively communicates process improvement modifications to faculty and/or staff in a supportive and positive manner to ensure changes are welcomed, completed, and continued. Trains personnel as needed.
Conducts post-project assessment to ensure process improvement methods are being utilized as intended and
are making a sufficient impact; determines efficacy of course development projects on student learning.

Minimum Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of process improvement techniques and application.

Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Task management, written and oral communication

Minimum Technology Skills

Workast; Canvas LMS; Slack; Course engagement software such as H5P

Minimum License and Certifications

None required.
